I made this card and loved it so much that I organized Final's craft time with Christina for my friends. Everyone thought it was great - so there was fun and relaxation enjoyed by all. score.
There's just something so relaxing about making something with your hands. I wrote on twitter the other day that the days I do something crafty are the best kinds of days. I can't wait to NOT be in the dorms for this reason, it's hard to find space, time and materials which can be frustrating.
I think you put a piece of yourself into something you create. It's a way of self knowledge and self donation - which may be a lot to read into a simple craft, but think about it a minute. It evolves as your thought process and creative inspiration evolves, and then those pieces of you are outside and on say....paper, in this instance...sometimes canvas, sometimes the wall....then they're permanently available to the world to see, for others to appreciate.
And suddenly you've vulnerably shared yourself. And after all "man can not find himself except in a sincere gift of self" said BLESSED John Paul II. So you're one step closer to understanding your own self - which is a constant learning process I've decided.
See? stick with me long enough and you'll realize I can turn anything into a theological point. haha, good or bad? I don't know...Pin It
It is always a gift of your time as well.
