Momentary Favorites

I can't commit to having favorites for long ... but here some of my favorites for the moment :) It's the little things that make life joyful

  1. Kashi Honey Almond Cereal: It's so delicious and filling and crunchy, never soggy. I'm not a big cereal person but I just bought this stuff and love it. Sometimes I even put I spoonful of peanut butter in it
  2. Hawaiian Aloha Febreeze: I wish every place I walked into smelled this good.
  3. Gym Class Heroes "Stereo Hearts": This song is a sure pick me up, it's been on repeat a couple times. The music video is cute too - bonus!
  4. My new jeans ... are awesome. I hate spending money but these were worth it.
  5. I can't stop thinking about this picture. It's so beautiful. This is the riot in Vancouver after the NHL playoffs. He's from Australia and was visiting his girlfriend, who was injured in the post game riot by a policeman trying to clear the street. He's just taking care of her. She was hysterical he said in an interview later. It's disturbing that this is how crazy people get over a game, to need to be controlled by tear gas and lines of police.

Is that what's important in life? Is that all we can throw our passion into? What about love? What about one another? What about living to care about other people and not yourself? I think myself and the world is captivated by this image because it is about living for something more. More than hockey. More than a competition of who is better than who.

They're in love and what matters is protecting each other, comforting each other ... being there for one another.
