Mary, Mother of God


Blessed Burden
A painting I did for my sister's birthday. This is Mary, exhausted physically and emotionally by her pregnancy. The light of God is falling upon her to comfort her, which is also symbolic of the light of God entering Mary so that she could conceive Jesus.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
